Aaron Shadbolt
I am a VFX artist specialising in hard-surface modelling, with a strong interest in procedural workflows and environment creation. My passion for visual effects began through exploring behind-the-scenes content from films such as The Matrix and Blade Runner, where I became more fascinated by the process of creating the visuals than the films themselves.
This led me to develop my skills in industry-standard software, where I discovered a particular interest in technical problem-solving and asset creation. One of my key projects involved building a procedural building generation tool in Houdini, capable of assembling modular structures from a simple cube input.
I have also been the 3D Lead on two team projects, including the short film “Sparky”, gaining experience in guiding workflows and supporting artists across multiple disciplines.
I am currently seeking to begin my career as a 3D Generalist, where I can continue developing my technical and creative skills, with the long-term goal of specialising in environment creation for films.
